I am about 5'5, so I could use all the height increase I can get. Would 6 inch elevator shoes be overkill?

Yes, it is. It looks fake as fuck and is bad for your heel. Never go over 3 inches.

Instead, learn self-confidence and choose your target market well.

You'd look like a cartoon. Or Bane from teh Christian Bale Batman series. Tom Hardy wore that height to look formidable because I think he's your height or less.

Go for 2-3 inches like @Leon suggests. Build your confidence too.

It's less about what you look like, and how you carry yourself. This takes time to develop, but remember she's not dating your looks like you are. She dating your stature. That's why frame is important. Develop on your other six life areas, and I bet you'll start feeling more relaxed and comfortable that your height won't be a thing you think about much.

Not meaning any offence but it's against my dignity to do something like that. I dress well, I work out, I improve my social skills but I won't do something like that. I know a very short guy, around 5'3" who has a very hot 9ish girlfriend. He's an MMA fighter and has a great body.

My favorite approach to this is:

DGAF

When I date taller women, I tell them to wear their highest heels when they're out with me

No man tlaks to them like that, plus it highlights that I both see the difference and cherish it because let's break the world in half and share in the spoils

I second the motion, Lenox.

With social media turning out clones and lemmings do something different and own that shit.

"Nothing is true. Everything is permitted."

More and more I say don't do what other people are doing.

Energy and attitude.

How many men really use these heels? I’m pretty sure not many would admit due to their ego.

i considered it before to get me above 6, I’m at 6 already, but 6’2 seems better lol. Just never really felt bad about my height enough to do it.
