Gonna check in tomorrow if I can.

I decided to get a location dependent job because I'm gonna need all the income I can get going into the next handful of months because of this virus scare. This way if one income stream breaks down I can do what I need to do with the other three.

So my income streams are as follows:
-Bite Squad. Uber and Lyft aged out and delivering stuff in a hot bag is way more safe than delivering people; BSQ pays just as much anyways, why didn't I do THIS last year? I'm expecting this to fade in a month since everything's getting closed
-Working at my bowling buddy's golf course. Bowling buddy is one of the coordinators of the course. THIS will stop too but I will do all I can to make as much money as possible.
-Freelance writing. Just got hired for a marketing firm that pays really cheap. The other three clients are still around. So now I have two cheap clients and two decent priced ones.
-Selling my e-books and counseling services on my website which really needs some work. I've been ignoring this stuff. That's gonna change if I'm gonna be locked out.

Despite the multiple incomes, there's still a lot of uncertainty as unfortunate as that is. This virus is straight up destroying the economy here in the US :(

I'm just glad all this crap started in March and not September during hurricane season.

Either way, see you all tomorrow or Thursday. Stay healthy and take care of yourselves.

Have you tapped into ways you can make money BECAUSE of Covid 19

Plenty people are right now

Offer your services

Get creative

A job is Great idea, and I recommend reading R. Don Steele's book OFFICE POLITICS to start

We're talking about it in SMIC and already a kid I recommended it for is seeing results and he's a Candian living in LATAM being paid local minimum wage, but not for long

So it works for him and will work for you regardless of what the economy is doing (or not doing)

Gonna put all updates on hold until things get back to normal. The uncertainty is destroying me and I don't have anything saved up to weather this.

I realized that I'm a complete failure when it comes to money and the virus has drained me of my motivation. It's very difficult for me to concentrate right now. Only thing I can write about is how this is affecting me.

Its really difficult for me to not look at all the current events on this, even though I know most of it is designed just to scare us into inaction. Well it worked on me today :(

Damn, you're right. It's just difficult to stay focused since dealing with this is so new to me. I HAVE been productive non-stop for the last week or so tho. I feel like I'll have all this figured out by April. I imagine that I'll have better clients by then.

I should do some writing in the plumbing/home improvement niche. Cuz they're getting SERIOUS business right now lol. My roommate is an apprentice for a plumber and he's been working 12 hours a day over the last week haha.

Gotta calm down and get focused. Can't be scared of this stupid virus.

Dealing with what is new to you?

Ignore the fake crisis and carry on

But I'm confused what you first wrote is different from your response, which is it, you're productive or unproductive

Be clear Brother

This pandemic. I was in college during the other ones over the last few years so I generally didn't need to focus on making money and stuff. So I needed a week or so to adjust and calm down, that led me to be unproductive for a bit. But now that I've adjusted its time to do work.

Anyways...

March 11th-31st

Uber/Lyft/Bite Squad = 193.25
Freelance Writing = 276.50
Golf course = 292.16

This was for the last 20 days, with a week off of driving and writing so I can calm down and keep my stress lower. Sorry I haven't updated much but the virus threw me for a loop. Things got pretty inconvenient pretty quickly. Ugh.

I got a good amount of writing to do, but this new client is really difficult to work with. Not worth the pay grade. So I'm not giving it the attention I should. I'll work with my other clients. Already got about $400 coming my way during the first week of April which is nice.

With Bite Squad and the golf course, I need to be veryyyyy careful since this virus is practically everywhere: Pretty much everyone who is infected by it is asymptomatic and that's why all the stay at home orders exist. I think I got it in some aspect; been dealing with chest pains the last two weeks or so but they've calmed down now. Could have been me being scared/anxious tho. That's why this virus sucks so much: It's lumped right in with other shit AND its hard to detect. Also easy to spread.

I'm gonna hit Bite Squad hard during the first two weeks of April. If I can make $1000 or so doing only that (which is very doable; I made $110 the other day) I'l be able to afford to hunker down until June, working on ONLY writing (as well as video game streaming during my downtime; gonna start doing that now too). The goal is to have $1500 or so in my possession by mid-April. This way if everyone around me has the virus and I need to quarantine until the summer or something, I can do it.

I'm gonna keep a close eye on the cases in my city, which are not too high at the moment (only 25, and we're surrounded by a lot of places that have either no cases or they have very few, like less than 10). If they start going crazy before the middle of April (like if they go up by like 10x per day or something like that), I'll hunker down and work on my writing related stuff. Not being able to go out for runs is gonna suck but it is what it is. I'll manage. I can do push ups, squats, and upright rows (using my bowling or golf bag lol) at home either way.

I plan on "working" at least 12 to 14 hours a day (a combination of squad, golf course, and writing) with one half day consisting of 6 hours every week...for as long as I need or can. I enjoyed being able to take Tuesdays off, but I literally and figuratively can't afford that now.

Update: The state I live at is getting placed on a stay at home order on Friday. Won't affect me, since golf is considered a "necessary service" in Florida LMAO. They're just closing all "non-essential" stuff. To me that's just the gym and nothing more.

Cases in my city went from 25 to 32, I'm alright with an increase of 7 a day. I'll stop Bite Squad after I've made a decent amount of money before the middle of the month or if the cases hit the 300 mark before then. By then I'll have most of my expenses for May and some of June (rent only) paid, leaving me free to do some serious work in freelance writing/the other stuff I offer since 85% of that isn't paid...yet.

There is A LOT of work I need to do and I'll be ready in a couple weeks. Just want to get a little bit of cash saved up first before things get stuuuuuuupid out here with this virus. Before you can catch it just by exiting the house or something lol.

Gonna also get a checkup to see if I have any conditions that might put me at risk if I catch this thing before I continue, juuuussssst to be sure. I mean the only thing physically wrong with me is that I get body aches, but that's to be expected when you are in your late 30s, are slightly overweight (26% body fat, about 25 or so lbs overweight), and lift weights. Gotta keep the bases covered anyways.

Put Corona-Land out of your mind once and for all by checking the statistics, and see that you have nothing to fear.

The concern is not the virus. That's a smoke-screen while authorities consolidate power and make serious moves.

That means you need to be making moves too, and ignore their distractions

Speed is your friend here

Move fast. Be Creative. Keep working. Take care of yourself with sleep and good nutrition.

Craigslist is gonna be your friend to seize and plant money-making opportunities

It's War Time

Go conquer!

Just covering the bases. It's a pretty unknown virus so I just want to stay on the safe side and protect myself.

Oh I definitely agree with that, been like that for awhile. I viewed September 11th the same way.

Agree with all of that. Again, I just check the cases in my city to see if it is safe to work my location dependent stuff, which I'm probably gonna stop doing in the middle of the month anyways. Then I'll get Caleb's new course and start implementing the info from that (and other courses I'll be taking).

Craigslist is gonna be your friend to seize and plant money-making opportunities
Craigslist, huh? Makes sense. I'll be all over all the platforms starting in the middle of the month actually. With the way I write, there is no reason I can't be making more money. From here on, I'm not gonna hold myself back anymore.

Like you said, it's time to take up arms and conquer. Lets goooo

Yes this 19th version of a virus that's been identified and used in household products for nearly a century is pretty unknown ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Week of April 1st - 7th

Bite Squad = 61.53
Freelance writing = 270

I just got a whole bunch of assignments, so next week will probably be way higher. Because of this, I'm gonna take some time off Bite Squad and focus on my writing. Also apparently my car needs tons of repairs so I want to back off doing Bite Squad until I can make the most necessary repairs.

I'll stay at the golf course just to get out of the house. I only work there two days a week but that's all I need so that I can hunker down and work on my writing.

Fair enough lol. I just don't want to get sick I guess. I'm still gonna leave the house to do exercise and work and stuff, but that's about it. All I need at the moment. Which is a good thing because I was getting stupid doing night game all the time. Before all this nonsense began I was doing night game after bowling and that was a big waste of time. So this is a blessing really.

That's a healthy response since you can control a lot that will virtually ensure you do not get sick

Focus on sleep, diet, exercise, and realistic mindsets

Avoidance is not a strategy for sane people because we've probably already been exposed or will be

So work on making your body stronger to handle exposure

I've been saying this to people...we pretty much all have this thing since its asymptomatic.

All the stuff you suggested I do anyways no matter what. Sleep 7 to 9 hours a night, active every day, avoiding junk and controlling my cravings, all that stuff. Guess this thing threw me for a loop because all the stuff I like to do outside of the house got taken from me within a 24 hour period lol. I really liked bowling and night game lol. But I'm good now, I'll manage even if things are like this until the fall...even if the US can't haha.

That's my difficulty too

I'm an INTJ, but the fact that the few social spaces I go to every day are shut down, I no longer have my social fix

Besides smoking cigars, there are virtually no men to connect with outside the house

Just sucks until you get creative

That's why your work is so important, you have to make more money so you have more options and can live near more men who are highly intelligent and thinking on the level you are

When shit hits the fan, you can band together

Yeah I'm ISFP but I get what you mean. The gym, the bowling alley, and the bar and taco joint that I hang out (and did TONS of writing at) all got taken from me in 24 hours. So it shook my system for a bit.

Just sucks until you get creative
I agree and best believe I'll be doing that.

Absolutely, agree 1000%. I feel like I've been selling myself short for a long time and that's not good. That ends now.

Weeks of April 7th - 22nd

Bite Squad = 294.26
Golf course = 265.73

I quit working at the golf course because I could not take the allergies from working around all the grass outside. I think it caused an inflammation in one of my neck muscles. It hasn't felt right in about a week. Ugh. Could also be from my roommates who are just staying home and getting high. This is giving me a really good incentive to live in a one bedroom apartment, even if its gonna cost another hundred bucks.

Working at the golf course was seriously cutting into my time writing anyways. Bite squad is back on because 1) The bonuses are getting awesome and 2) I am well protected from the virus which is spreading pretty rapidly. Pair of gloves, a mask, and I'm good to go. I do need to make a repair or two on my car but that can wait.

What I'm gonna do is designate days where I do deliveries all day and days where I write all day, this way I can balance things out a bit more. During the driving days, I'll take courses and stuff. Right now I'm taking Caleb's younger man course, its good stuff even though I'm a bit older than the age range of the course. Doesn't matter, it's what I need since I'm pretty behind on things. I know it will help.

I have some freelance writing income waiting. It will be quite a bit actually. Enough to pay for most of May's expenses :D

I'm also in the works of acquiring another client to write stuff for. It's from someone who I ran into when I worked at the golf course. Told him that I do freelance writing and he said that he's looking for freelance writing. Gonna play golf with him on Monday to talk some business.

I consider myself very lucky that I'm able to maintain my livelihood during this virus mess. Can still deliver food and articles. Can't bowl or go to the gym but whatevs.

Why do I keep forgetting to update this? Christ, fuck me senseless.

April 23 - 30
Bite Squad: 97.21
Golf course: 275.76
Freelance writing: 627

April totals:
Bite squad = 453
Golf course = 541.49
Freelance writing = 897

Total for April = 1891.49

HO. LEE. CHRIST. Dat figure for freelance writing. And most of it was from my cheapest client. And that was from probably only 20 hours of writing (around 60000 words total, like I said its a very cheap client but the work was continuous).

This is a personal best and now that I know I can produce an income that will meet my monthly expenses (which is about $800) and now that I know I can hit those totals if I just apply myself, nothing is stopping me.

As embarrassing as this is to admit, Bite Squad canned me for delivering the wrong order to the wrong person. I was moving way too fast and they are strict about the right person getting the right stuff. Doesn't bother me any, it was cutting into my writing HARD.

I got my stimulus "hookup" yesterday and will be buying a new computer with half of it, the other half is going in savings. I'm gonna use it to get back to making content on my YouTube and Twitch channels. Might get a better microphone and webcam too but we'll see.

For the rest of this year, I want to be completely location independent and work from home completely. Not because I'm afraid of the virus (I think I had it and developed immunity to it; I was short of breath for a bit during the last half of March), but because there is WAY more money to be made and doing my location dependent stuff was cutting into it. However, it was good that I did some of the location dependent stuff last month because it did help.

Most of all of my expenses this month are paid which gives me an entire month to acquire a few more gigs before June begins.
